Deep in the heart of the steamy tropical rainforest at Las Caletas, near a crumbling pyramid, there is a mystical amphitheater where this weeks Vlog takes us. We enjoy the #1 Dinner Show in Puerto Vallarta, and awarded as Travelers’ Choice 2020! Definitely Recommend!

Barry Ehlert is a serial entrepreneur. His love & passion for business started young. His first venture of shoveling snow was done for tips. As a business graduate of Brigham Young University, Barry wrote an award winning business plan while attending his last year of university. He was named one of Forbes Magazine’s “Future Capitalists.” He grew a start-up in Dallas, TX to 8 retail locations, and over 100 wholesale accounts before selling the business, and returning home where he grew up in Calgary, AB. Barry followed his grandfather, and father’s footsteps with his passion for golf and business. He has grown Windmill Golf at one point to over 10 golf courses through building new, acquiring, and management of golf courses. He has since redeveloped some courses, and has been focused on some of his new acquisitions while preparing to open Mickelson National in 2020. Barry recently decided to start a Vlog to provide insight into his life plus passion he shares for his family and business.
This week we traveled from Merida to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! We’ve been so excited about this trip because *so* many people have told us we were going to love Puerto Vallarta, and they weren’t wrong! We only had a couple of days to explore things to do in Puerto Vallarta, but were not disappointed. We got to explore the Palo Maria Waterfall hike (although we didn’t make it all the way up the river because there was a storm coming) and the following day we had a blast taking a boat up to Boca de Tomatlán and hiking up the coast to some beautiful beaches! We ended at Playa Las Animas, and have all the details on of everything we did over on the blog! In between those adventures, we walked up to the Mirador de la Cruz to watch the sunset and of course strolled along Puerto Vallarta’s famous Malecón. This city has SO much to do and see, and we barely scratched the surface on this trip. Let us know your favorite thing to do in Puerto Vallarta in the comments so we can make sure to check it out the next time we’re here!

¿Cómo puedes llegar a Playa (El) Caballo?
ENGLISH
Enjoy soft waves and relax in harmony with the sea and nature at Playa Caballo (Horse Beach). An almost virgin beach located south of Puerto Vallarta between Casitas Maraika Beach (Madagascar) and Las Ánimas Beach in Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, Mexico. https://www.puertovallarta.net/what_to_do/caballo-beach-cabo-corrientes-jalisco-mexico
How can you get to El Caballo Beach? In Boca De Tomatlán you take a water taxi (known locally as pangas) where you only mention “Playa Caballo” and the taxi operator will know the route. If you are more adventurous you can arrive by land taking the hiking path from Boca passing through Colomitos Beach, La Troza, Casitas Maraika, and then arriving at Playa Caballo.
The simplest way is to go with a tour that takes you to Playa Las Ánimas and once at the dock, you go left, before getting to the end of Las Ánimas Beach, there’s a path that leaves the beach to the right that takes you to Playa Caballo and beaches further east and north, there is no way to get lost.
Disgruntled city bus drivers engage in dialogue with the state’s Secretary of Transportation. Women advocate for gender parity in entering municipal administrations. Can you guess how many turtle hatchlings have been returned to sea? PLUS, an international film festival is coming.
