One of the things we love about traveling is sampling the local cuisine. And even though we are primarily vegan, every now and then we break away to try some local food.

One of our favorite foods is #Mexicanfood and to be more specific, Mexican #streetfood. Great Puerto Vallarta restaurants are plentiful, but nothing beats Puerto Vallarta tacos from the street. There is no way we could be in #PuertoVallarta and not hit up some of the best street tacos in Puerto Vallarta.

There are many Puerto Vallarta #foodtours, but we just went to Yelp, looked at street tacos ratings and reviews, and went from there. Luckily, we were staying in la Zona Romantica where the best food in Puerto Vallarta seems to be.

After a few weeks of too much work and not enough play in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, we decided to treat ourselves to a staycation at the exclusive and luxurious Casa Kimberly. Casa Kimberly has to be one of the most lovely small luxury hotels of the world.

We learned About Casa Kimberly when creating our Puerto Vallarta Tour From Home and couldn’t wait to pass through the gorgeous rot-iron gate and escape into a weekend of pampering.

We enjoyed a private tequila tasting, cocktails on our balcony overlooking Puerto Vallarta, and a delicious meal in the open-air restaurant, and morning coffee with a gorgeous view.

The property pays homage to the love affair between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton and is a very special place.
