On New Year’s Eve, a boat carrying about 60 attendees of a New Year’s Eve circuit party in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico sank. Though no one was hurt during the incident, footage showing the revelers being rescued surfaced on social media, leading to an onslaught of schadenfreude and extensive memeification.

El jueves 31 de diciembre de 2020, el barco de fiesta, PV Delice, se hundió hasta el fondo del océano mientras la tripulación pedía desesperadamente ayuda para rescatar a los pasajeros.

El barco, con unas 60 personas a bordo, estaba terminando su crucero de Nochevieja cerca de la Playa Quimixto, sin embargo, solo hubo pérdidas materiales puesto que todas las personas fueron rescatadas sin lesiones, informó la Unidad Estatal de Protección Civil y Bomberos Jalisco
Autoridades detallaron que se trató de un catamarán de nombre Canuwa que recogió de la playa de Quimixto a 57 pasajeros junto con dos tripulantes y su capitán.

De acuerdo con la dependencia, el accidente ocurrió alrededor de las 11:43 horas cuando la embarcación se encontraba a 400 metros mar adentro, lo picado del mar ocasionó que una ola los impactara y que el agua ingresara al cuarto de máquinas, lo que provocó que la embarcación se comenzará a hundir.

Algo extraño pasó en lo que debió haber sido tan solo una fiesta al atardecer en Puerto Vallarta, los turistas que habían contratado el tour se llevaron el susto de sus vidas pues el barco en el que viajaban se hundió rápidamente.
