My full speed race run from the insane urban MTB downhill in Mexico, through the streets of Puerto Vallarta with huge jumps, big drops and full speed stair sections! Would you ride this?

The down Puerto Vallarta Urban DH race is insane and one of the best tracks i’ve ever ridden. With its huge jumps and drops and full speed sections I thought it was amazing! The backdrop of the Mexican jungle which overlooks the ocean is also a crazy view that i’ll never forget. After my race run I decided to head up and do a second run in a huge train with some of the other riders, I love MTB!! I was riding my Haibike Dwnhll 8.0 bike and I shot the video on GoPro HERO 7 black!

Puerto Vallarta is one of Mexico’s most popular destinations for snow birds trying to escape the cold back home. In this video I’m sharing some fun activities you can do there, many of which are free. Start by getting a bird’s eye view of the old city (centro historico) by climbing up to an old lighthouse that’s now a lookout point called Mirador Matamoros. Next check out the Chocolate Museum to learn about the history and culture of chocolate in Mexico, plus make your own to take home. To walk off the sugar high, head to River Cuale Island (Isla Rio Cuale) for some shopping or to grab a bite to eat. Then I suggest joining the Art Walk to learn about Puerto Vallarta’s art scene and hear the stories behind its public art. At the end of the day, stroll along the lovely walkway that winds along the water called the Malecón. Try a popular local drink called a Tuba and get a photo with the Puerto Vallarta sign. The Malecón is the perfect place to catch the sunset and end the day.

Today I’m riding a crazy urban MTB downhill track in Mexico! The course runs through the streets of Puerto Vallarta, down stairs, off big drops and ends with 3 huge jumps!

The event is called DownPuertoVallarta and this is the first time I have been here, I love these urban freeride events and this course is extra exciting because there are real dirt sections to go along with the crazy wooden features and drops! I am riding my downhill mountain bike here and it is definitely needed because without the full suspension bike this track wouldn’t be possible!! Today is just practise and the race will happen the next day so expect my full race run video in the next few days!!! This video is shot on GoPro hero 7 Black and I can believe how well the stabilisation works on such terrain!

If you don’t know Tomas, he is quiet a legend. King of Crankworx 2016, won 2 times Red Bull Valparaiso Cerro por Abajo, Four Cross World Champion…

In this video Tomas (Down Puerto Vallarta winner 2017) and myself (Winner 2018) explain you the different features and difficulties of the new race track as well as our own tips and tricks to be successful at that event.
