falls somewhat short of capturing the intense emotional and physically painful shit i experienced and endured during my puerto vallarta ‘vacation’… but reenactments often do, it’s impossible to capture and recreate any reality, gritty or otherwise!
puerto vallarta was once an incredible cool, beautiful coastal ‘town’ way back when, way back then! now it’s more of a monster tourist city!
I actually snuck back down there under another name (since Mexican Government banned me from returning… ever!) to see the jail I was in, from the outside, it’s now a fire station and paramedic dispatch center. I asked to go in and look around, told them i was writing an article for an american magazine. completely changed but the memories are still alive. also located the residence of police chief Xavier Montelongo and took some pics of the inside of his foyer where he has a wall of photos dedicated to himself. (someone caught me and asked what i was doing, got a fear rush and rushed away.

This is a little video documentary or our families trip to Mexico in January of 2016. Its a little long, but a fun documentation of our trip.
