Puerto Vallarta is known for its sun, beautiful landscape and friendly people.

Expats from the United States or Canada call Puerto Vallarta home; and, with plenty of good reasons. It’s not just the warm weather, with breezy summers and mild winters. Puerto Vallarta is a town that has so much more to offer. The ambiance in PV is amazing.

Some people ask me why Puerto Vallarta, not any city in Quintana Roo or somewhere else in Mexico.

For example, in Cancun in summer weather is so humid and it is very hard to live in this part of Mexico, especially for me. Puerto Vallarta feels much better in the hottest time of the year.

??Puerto Vallarta offers a more authentic experience of Mexican culture.

The downtown in Puerto Vallarta has all the charm of the colonial feel, with old buildings and cobblestone roads, art galleries and pretty shops.

Puerto Vallarta is considered as a safe place to travel or to move in. Just don’t walk alone on narrow dark roads at night and be careful and avoid peripheral areas. Stay in the touristy area, especially if you are alone.

I also enjoy PV for an ability to travel up and down the coast to all the small towns for the day as well as travelling to the colonial towns in the interior of Mexico and to Guadalajara.

When people ask me why I chose Puerto Vallarta over other areas in Mexico my reply is that I enjoy the local people, atmosphere, the variety of restaurants and comfortable life here.

I appreciate the large variety of options and the huge sense of security I feel in the city. Compared to other cities with similar characteristics Puerto Vallarta is an excellent option, besides having the access to an easily rent-able and affordable property.
