Centrally located, authentic luxury mexican view villa – your base for a pampering, relaxing stay
My wife and I recently returned from a stay at Villa El Divisadero in Puerto Vallarta. One hopes that a villa comes close to looking like the photos on a website. In this case, the photos you see on the listing are the real deal! Before we set out on this vacation, I emailed Don the owner several times. He was very friendly, informative, and fast! This helped put this Mexico first timer at ease. The property includes a parking spot at the top of a shared driveway; we elected to use taxis during our stay. Every taxi driver knew how to get to the villa. At the end of our trip, we spent about the same on taxis as we would have on a rental car, without the hassle and risk. Waits for taxis were usually 2 or 3 minutes. One arrives by way of the driveway, or by using a “Funicular” tram. This tram transports up to four people to the top. Since El Divisidero is a penthouse villa, with the views that accompany it’s lofty position, there are a few flights of stairs one has to ascend before arriving at the front door. Opening the door is like looking into an art gallery. One can enjoy paintings, sculptures, pottery, and dried flower arrangements throughout the home. Many art pieces are in little built-in niches. Everything can be lighted for a surreal, warm glow at night. This is truly a treat to experience. The villa has a very authentic Mexican atmosphere. Each bedroom is very well appointed and very comfortable. The main bedroom features a king bed, with a wonderful tiled shower. The other bedroom features a queen bed with a tiled shower/tub. Both bedrooms open onto the balcony and it’s sweeping views of the Bay of Banderas. We slept with the balcony doors open to enjoy the sea breezes. The kitchen is traditionally styled, yet equipped with modern amenities. We used it to prepare a fresh breakfast each day. The balcony is about 80 feet long. Each bedroom opens onto it through double doors. The living room has two sets of doors that open on to it. On the balcony, lounge chairs, a bar, a grille, a dining table, and a socializing table are provided. Like the house, there are many lights on dimmers to setup a really cozy atmosphere, with artwork and plants everywhere. The view from the balcony is completely unobstructed. What an outstanding place to relax after sightseeing and shopping! I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Villa El Divisadero. If you are like us, you will seriously consider quitting your jobs to stay here forever!
