We just returned home after spending two weeks staying in 402. The location was perfect for us -in the middle of a neighborhood for that “local” feel. We walked everywhere . It’s a 5-10 minute walk down to the Malecon. We used both the stairs and walked the cobblestone roads. Slightly longer walking back up -it’s pretty steep- but we really had no problem. We always felt safe walking back even late at night. There are numerous local restaurants close by. We also visited the small market down the street several times.
We found the condo to be well -equipped and set up great for two couples. There is not a dining table but that did not pose a problem. We rarely ate in and if we wanted to play cards or games we went up to the pool area where there is a large table . The washer/dryer was a bonus that we used quite a bit. We did not have maid service (although it was available ) so the ability to launder our bathroom towels was a plus. We found a few small housekeeping issues when we arrived but nothing worrisome. Anytime I had a question both Aaron and Yasmin were quick to respond.
Overall an excellent choice for us . Be prepared for neighborhood sounds like roosters and barking dogs -annoying but by the end we hardly noticed them. Beautiful views, we used the pool area almost every day and most of the time we had it to ourselves. Would highly recommend!
