My friend and I stayed July 12-20, 2011, and really enjoyed our accommodations. We are 2 females in our early 60’s and our mission was to see as much as we could in 8 days. Well, we couldn’t have picked a better location. We felt extremely safe at the condo, the staff were friendly and helpful, we figured out the bus system (I was soooo glad I didn’t rent a car) and we took several fun bus trips to smaller villages outside Puerto Vallarta. We were in walking distance to at least 100 restaurants, had fun at Nacho Daddy’s a couple of nights, had great fish at Joe’s Fish Shack, and enjoyed other restaurants in the neighborhood. The local entertainment on the square below our patio was delightful, the locals very friendly, and the food delicious. A tip to anyone who wants to go out to Mita or Sayalito – take one of the buses on the square by the condo to the Wal-Mart stop and there you will find buses heading to the north side of the bay (the buses are a bit bumpy and run down, but you can’t beat the cost – less than $3.00 for a 25 mile ride – musicians included!) Thank you Jeff! I would definately recommend Plaza Mar over the all-inclusive resorts.
