Once we entered through the secure gates both our mouths dropped with awe. Check in was super easy and the courtyard was such a relaxing site. We entered our unit and where more than impressed immediately. The web site vidieo was amazing and in person the condo was even more luxorious. The steel gated entrance door added a sense of security and had a practical function for allowing air flow. This was a big hit with us. Everything worked perfectly in the unit. The King size bed was soft. Maid service was excellent and we where surprized to see that she even scrubbs the shower walls down. We made sure she got tipped well along with the general grounds keeper. The view from this unit was so perfect for us that along with the pool, we enjoyed people watching for days before we ventured out to places like the zoo. The pool area was so perfect for relaxing at different times of the day.
It was enjoyable meeting the different people staying at Plaza Mar. The location of this complex was close to anything required at a moments notice. We appreciated the coffee maker, toaster, microwave and blender. We used them all and found the kitchen outfitted with quality cookware and dishes. All mentioned above is not common in places we stayed in the past so we where impressed that all these appliances worked perfectly. We don’t watch TV much while on vacation but listen to music. We brought our mp3 player and speakers which is how we roll as we could not figure out how the CD player worked which was of no concern. The collection of books was nice to have as we enjoy coming to Mexico and reading. We truely don’t want to over promote this unit as we are interested in returning next year and can easily see why the unit has repeat long term tenants. This is my second stay at the plaza mar my first a year ago with my kids and this year by myself in condo 306. As usual I found the facilities exceptional from its location, cleanliness and courteous,efficient and organized staff. First of all the process of renting from Jeff is very easy and with no delays or or inordinate amount of paperwork or e-mails back and forth. Check in was a snap. I spent no more than 5 minutes at the front desk before I was unlocking the door to my condo. The staff were very helpful, the front desk personnel always recognized me by name and and always offered a cheerful hola, and buenos diaz, when coming or going. The bed was very comfortable and the unite was well stocked with kitchen items. The decor is typical Mexican. I especially enjoyed having my morning coffee on the balcony and watching the people on the street starting their day by walking their dogs and the vendors setting up shop. Each morning a gentleman always visited the condo from the street offering Mexican pastries for sale.
